KNOW CHRIST,
MAKE HIM KNOWN,
& HELP OTHERS DO THE SAME

Transform the WSU campus through generational life-to-life disciplemaking with a vision of impacting students who will spread the Gospel globally.

We want students to be connected, known, and included rather than just organizational members, with a focus on life-to-life impact and preparing students spiritually for life after college.

Our Mission

The Navigators is a worldwide Christian organization helping people navigate spiritually and relationally in every context.

Origins (1933)

The Navigators began when young Dawson Trotman helped a friend, Les Spencer, with Scripture memorization. A lumberyard worker in Los Angeles, Trotman had no idea his simple assistance would spark a global movement.

Trotman encouraged Spencer to share what he'd learned with others. Eventually, 125 men on their ship, the U.S.S. West Virginia, were growing in Christ and actively sharing their faith. By the end of World War II, thousands of ships and military bases had been impacted by this life-to-life discipleship approach.

Campus Ministry (1958)

The shift into college campuses occurred in 1958 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Suddenly, the mission pushed forward with renewed vigor.

Now, college campuses across America have their very own branch of the Navigators, ready to establish community and equip students to be disciple-makers.
